Amended - Dates for the Diary

The dates for the season's award ceremonies have been annouced.

The Mini and Junior sections will have their presentations on Saturday the 18th May 2013 and the Youth and Senior teams will have their awards dinner on Saturday the 15th June 2013.

Further details will follow over the coming weeks.

Historic Win for 1st XV

A bitterly cold day and ferocious cold March wind met the players from Dinas Powis and Blaengarw as they took to the field of play last Saturday (23rd March). Little did the ensemble of hardcore supports know that, when the referee blew his whistle to start the match, they would witness a scintillating combination of attacking flair and clinical finishing.

Despite a valient defensive effort the visitors were to fall victim to Dinas' talented and youthful team who ruthlessley ran in an outstanding eighteen unanswered tries, twelve of which were converted. At the final whistle the score stood at a massive 114-0 and a buzz of excited conversation could be heard amongst the faithful within the clubhouse. Was it a record score? Had history been made? After consulting the record books and much debate amongst the more "senior" supporters the opinion was unanimous and the club has two new records;

The highest number of points scord in a single match
The largest winning margin

The club has joined forces with MGM Sports, Cardiff to offer supporters and players the opportunity to purchase a selection of high quality clothing at highly competitive prices. All of the products currently on offer are manufactured by Samurai and come with the Dinas Powis RFC crest proudly embroidered upon them. So whether you are looking for a gift or perhaps fancy an item for yourself there is sure to be something that will catch your eye.

As some of you will know we have invested in the purchase of a refurbished site office which has been kitted out as a gym with the principle aim of helping our players improve their strength and fitness although we welcome all members of the club (16yrs and older - sorry) to utilise this fantastic facility.
